Heinrich Hermanns was a German painter and lithographer, active in Dusseldorf where he was born. He studied at the Academy there from 1883 to 1893. One of his teachers was the landscape painter Eugen Ducher, and he became his master student. In the same year he and some other students founded the “Lucas-Club” which was intended to be an advanced association of landscape painters. He was represented at the great German art expositions until the 1930’s.
