Marcel Demagny graduated from the Nancy, France, School of Architecture in 1974. After receiving his diploma he became chief architect of the French city, Nancy, in which he still resides. During his years in school he became interested in painting. He deals with sharp edges and angles and the absence of hue and monochromatic background.
Demagny reached his current style which is working by layering colors with the palette knife and spatula. This is the culmination of 37 years of passion and practice. The color and style of his paintings are truly an expression of himself.
Some of his permanent exhibits are Galerie le Fleuron in Honfleur, Galerie de Medicis in Paris and Galerie D’Arfi Suisse.
